Topic #2

The person I admire the most is my mother. Her life and experience is one of triggers which I decided to go to the U.S.. She was born in Tokyo, Japan, as the second daughter and was interested in English so much when she was a high school student. When she graduated her high school, she got into the University of South Florida to study not only English but also economics which she also liked. The first year of her life in there was only studing English. She was in domitory and got used to life in the U.S., and enjoyed to talk with her roommate. She often feels happy when she listen to 80's pop music because she loves it so that she went to Michael Jackson's concert. After the first year, she was goig to choose economics as her major, she was denied by professer of economics. He said to her you can learn economics in Japanese university so I don' t understand why do you want to study economics in your college. She negotiated with him, but he denied her again. She cryed with his words. After that, She choosed other major, Spanish. Then her major was dicided that Spanish. Therefore, she learned English and Spanish for four years and graduated her university. After that, she backed to Japan, and got a job which is a receptionist. Now, she works at a international section of the Waseda University.

I said I'm in English conversation club in previous topic, the reason is my mother's recommend which her wish I experience English and culture of U.S.. Today, I'm in here to study English as her altough little length, I would like to get into U.S.'s university someday.

  1. Thank you for sharing. Your mom wants you to experience the joys of learning new languages, new cultures, and new countries. When you travel and meet new people and see new things, it broadens your life experience and gives you different perspectives on life. Best wishes to you on learning English and using it in many functions in the future!
